Gauvin Lapetoule’s photographs capture the essence of modernism and modern architecture of a city that invites urban exploration. His objective catches, through vertical gazes towards the sky, hidden, private or closed places allowing the fleeting visit of the public once a year only. Ceilings, unreachable and untouchable elements are considered by Gauvin as a source of inspiration by their photogenic models that managed to maintain their identity as architectural elements and have survived the heritage transformation by large companies towards mass consumption.

Gauvin Lapetoule is an autodidact photographer who offers his collection of architectural images of Barcelona “Looking in the air”, he spent many hours exploring new corners of the Catalan capital to propose this work.
